About Scouts
Scouts is patrol-led adventure. Our Scouts work in small teams called patrols, each led by a Patrol Leader and Assistant Patrol Leader, and they plan and run their own program — hikes, camps, paddling, cooking, pioneering, navigation and community service.
We’re often out of the hall, so always check the term program.
Badges and progression
Scouts track their journey in Terrain through Milestones, Outdoor Adventure Skills, Special Interest Areas and their Personal Reflection, working towards the Australian Scout Award.
Our year
Stradbroke Cup
A three-night patrol camp at Eumeralla, Anglesea over the March Labour Day weekend.
Badgelitz
Four nights at Steiglitz in the September holidays, focused on Outdoor Adventure Skills.
Cohen Shield
Bushcraft and survival in patrols at Eumeralla, in October.
Icebreaker Regatta
An introduction to paddling at Indented Head in November, racing other groups for the trophy.
Anzac Day sleepover
We stay in the hall on Anzac eve with a guest speaker, then attend the Bannockburn dawn service.
Group Camp
Our whole-group camp, at a different location each year. All sections and adults welcome.
Scouts use Stack Team App. Create an account, search for Bannockburn Lethbridge Scout Group and join. Parents can join too and be set up as a parent or guardian, so you can see what your child sees.
