About Venturer Scouts
Venturers is run by its members. The unit elects its own council, sets its own program and plans its own expeditions — bushwalking, paddling, climbing, snow trips, service projects, and state and national jamborees and moots.
Awards you can work towards
The King’s Scout Award and the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award, plus Outdoor Adventure Skills and Special Interest Areas in Terrain.
Member-led
You decide what the unit does. Leaders are there to support and keep it safe, not to run it.
Bigger adventures
Multi-day expeditions, alpine trips, caving, canyoning and the full Scouts Victoria activity network.
Leadership that counts
Real responsibility, and skills that stand up on a resume or a university application.
Turning 14? Scouts and Venturers overlap at 14, so you can move up when you feel ready rather than on a fixed birthday. Come and try a night and see which suits you.
